On Side Restoration Ltd. (“On Side Restoration”, “On Side” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Absolute Hardwood Flooring, who offers a full range of flooring options, into its breadth of services to be based out of their Edmonton branch.
Absolute Hardwood Flooring brings with it seven very talented and customer-focused employees in various roles, as well as one co-owner, Kristin Krokis, who will become On Side’s District Flooring Manager. Co-owner Keely Krokis will be working together with the integration team to ensure a smooth transition for each employee from one company to the next. Original owners, a husband and wife team, founded the company back in 1997 and opened a storefront in 2004 to better serve their customer base. Now 20 years later, they’re excited to embrace change by expanding their services and solid flooring program to more Intact Prestige customers and others within the On Side Restoration ever expanding book of business.
Ron Biggs, Regional Vice President, West shared “We’re excited to be bringing Absolute Hardwood into the fold. They are a solid company with a great reputation. Although On Side already has a Flooring Department in the East, owning and operating one now in the Western Region is a natural next step in expanding our footprint across Canada.” Mr. Biggs continued, “Acquiring Absolute Hardwood will provide us with an opportunity to accelerate our internalization strategy, enhance cycle times, and strengthen our customer offerings”.
Kristin Krokis, stated, “Keely and I reached a point in our lives and careers where we wanted to move beyond our traditional ownership model while at the same time, take on a new challenge. We knew that in selling our much-loved business, that our dedicated and hardworking staff would also be well looked after. This win-win situation also extends to our steadfast network of suppliers, valued customers and installation team, who will now just be connected to us in a slightly different way.”
In about 2 months, Absolute Hardwood Flooring will be moving from their location on 99th Street to On Side’s new Edmonton, Alberta branch now located at 17439 129 Ave NW.
