After two key years as On Side Restoration’s Regional Vice President of Quebec, Jean-Pierre Bastien, will be retiring at the end of May. With his departure, the company is pleased to announce that Sebastien Bernier, will replace Mr. Bastien as Regional Vice President, Quebec.
Mr. Bernier has worked with Intact for over 26 years and since 2018 has led both auto and property claims teams at Intact with his most recent role as VP, Claims Operations, Quebec. Before this, Sebastien was VP, Sales and Customer Service with belairdirect. Throughout his time with the company, he has supported several projects improving both the customer and employee experience.
“As I step in to Jean-Pierre’s shoes at On Side in Quebec, what’s most important to me are our people and simplifying our work lives. When we support an open and honest environment that reinforces cross-team and cross-province collaboration, we can better achieve each of our individual objectives. From there we’ll be better positioned to face our challenges head on with more success,” stated Mr. Bernier.
Patrick Barbeau, Chief Operating Officer, Intact thanks Mr. Bastien for his valuable contributions over the past couple of years, “Mr. Bastien has been a motivating leader with exceptional talents in connecting people, which has been key to On Side’s growth and development in the province of Quebec.”
“After a 36-year active career, the time has come for me to entertain retirement and devote more time to my family. I’d like to thank On Side and the management team for giving me the opportunity to discover the world of restoration and collaborate with such wonderful people!” shared Mr. Bastien.
Regarding Mr. Bernier moving into this vital role in Quebec, Mr. Barbeau also shared, “We are confident that Sebastien’s experience and approach will contribute to a continued strong partnership between Intact Financial Corporation (IFC) and On Side.”
To ensure a seamless transition between the two RVPs, Mr. Bernier started at On Side on February 12th and Mr. Bastien will remain with the company through to the end of May.
